How to Complete the 75 Hard Challenge

•

Have you heard of the 75 Hard Challenge?? The 75 Hard Challenge has emerged as a formidable path to self-discovery and transformation. Developed by entrepreneur Andy Frisella, this 75-day challenge is designed to push participants beyond their limits, fostering resilience, discipline, and a heightened sense of achievement.

There are strict rules that you have to follow everyday for 75 days. It seems intimidating at first, but with the right planning and purpose, you will be able to complete the challenge.

What I Gained from Completing the 75 Hard Challenge

Faith Maturity

I wanted to increase my discipline in my walk with the Lord. It is very obvious that our physical health is linked to our spiritual health. We have to be just as disciplined (if not more) in our daily devotions, prayers, and faith in God. Sticking to a structured routine with decreased friction of the good habits and increased friction of the bad habits will help us stay motivated to say “yes” when we really want to say “no”.

I am definitely someone that benefits most from following a plan to stay accountable to my goals. Once I finished my first round of 75 Hard and was able to go back to my previous exercise routine, I found myself not being as consistent with it due to not being on a structured routine program.

Same idea has applied to my Bible reading. The first time I finished reading the Bible in a year, I decided the next year I would read through the New Testament only while taking my time with really studying the word but not following a reading program. Well, I did not finish the New Testament that year. I have now went back to following a Bible reading plan to keep me on track and consistent.

Following a detailed and routine program with 75 Hard is the best way to jumpstart a lifelong commitment to healthy living.

Health Maturity

I completed this challenge the first round to not only get in better shape and to increase my devotion to health, but to mainly learn discipline. I am someone that can talk myself out of anything. I don’t feel like I could give my 100% in the gym today? Eh, I better just go home and not go. WRONG!!

After completing the challenge, I have learned that it is not about feeling 100% everyday, but it is about showing up everyday. Just showing up and checking off the boxes will teach you to go beyond the fleshly motivation. Instead, it will strengthen what might be the weakest organ in your body– your brain.

I once heard a quote from a pastor saying “The strongest athletes LEAD their body, not follow it”. This is what mental discipline is. Just because my body does not want to and is telling me ‘no’, I have to lead my body to healthy decisions.

Okay, let’s get to the details.
