Easy, Instant Pot 30- Minute BBQ Ribs

Only have 30 minutes to make dinner? No problem! Let's make some delicious, fall off the bone BBQ ribs.

Ingredients
  

  • 4 tbsp BBQ Seasoning 2 tbsp on each side
  • 4 tbsp BBQ Sauce 2 tbsp on each side
  • 1.5 cups Chicken or Beef Broth

Equipment

  • Instant Pot
  • Grill or Oven

Method
 

  1. Pat the ribs dry with paper towels
  2. Remove the thin membrane from the ribs *see recipe notes
  3. Season the ribs with salt, pepper, and BBQ seasoning
  4. Place the trivet in the instant pot
  5. Place the rack of ribs in the pot on the trivet following the curve of the pot with the meaty part facing out
  6. Optional: add an onion, 3 cloves of garlic, and rosemary to the pot
  7. Add 1.5 cups of broth to the pot
  8. Put the lid on the Instant Pot, seal the valve, and set the pot to cook on high for 23 minutes
  9. Allow natural release for 2-5 minutes
  10. Press the valve to release the pressure
  11. Remove the rack of ribs from the Instant Pot
  12. Add the BBQ sauce to both sides of the ribs
  13. Heat the grill to medium heat OR the oven** see recipe notes for oven directions
  14. Place the ribs on the grill for 2 minutes each side to create a glaze
  15. Remove rack of ribs from the grill
  16. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

*Removing the thin membrane: Most ribs that you purchase at the store will have the thin membrane that you will have to peel/ cut away. The membrance will be on the underside of the ribs. The best method I have used is to snip a piece of the membrane from one end of the ribs. Then take the piece that you have snipped to be lifted from the ribs and hold on to it with a paper towel. Then pull! The membrane will pull away.
**If you choose to use the oven rather than the grill, you will need to place the ribs in the oven after they are finished in the Instant Pot. Set oven to preheat high broil. Broil the ribs until a glaze is formed from the BBQ sauce.
